Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Database Developer for SQL DB who can

• Draft design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects
• Design, develop and implement database systems based on clients’ requirements
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development
• Develop security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized access
• Optimize database systems for performance efficiency
• Identify issues related to database performance and provide solutions
• Perform data back-up and archival on regular basis
• Test databases and perform bug fixes
• Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion

Required Skill Sets

• Experience in developing database projects using SQL Server 2005/2008
• Experience in SQL-XML programming
• Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for report generation
• Experience in Data Modeling, Database design and well versed with SQL Server best practices
• Experience on SQL Server Enterprise Database
• Experience and knowledge in Query Tuning, Database Tuning, Performance tuning and different indexing methods
• Knowledge of XML Extraction and Transformation
• Knowledge of XML Databases and Indexing/Search/Lucene

Preferred Skill Sets

• Experience in .NET with strong object-oriented design skills
• Experience in the latest framework changes, build tools, and libraries
• Experience in Unix Shell scripts and using Unix scripting using bash or korn shell

Interpersonal Skills

Good verbal and non-verbal communication along with good at decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. We are looking for a dynamic candidate who qualifies as a team player.

Educational Qualification

Any graduate or post graduate degree in B.E., Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
