The client, an entrepreneur, based in Saudi Arabia, was looking to develop a portal which would be a comparison shopping service guide to consumers. He was looking at this comparison shopping software as a start up business, for himself. He approached Pegasus InfoCorp to help recommend the best manner of implementing his ideas and plan the overall approach and phases of development, for the product comparison shopping software.
Pegasus InfoCorp had several discussions with the client to understand the client’s requirements. The basic concept of the website was – merchants would be able to publish their best deals and products on the site and consumers would be able to compare between different deals and products available, thus enabling them to select the best options. The client was looking for several features such as detailed merchant profiles, data feeds, advanced search mechanisms, desktop widgets, SMS gateway integrations, customized newsletters, dynamic content management systems, reporting tools etc.
After a thorough understanding of the exact flow and functionalities required for the site and keeping the client's overall budget and timelines in mind, Pegasus InfoCorp built a detailed scope document for the client. The software requirements specification document included suggestions on the best way of implementing the site, plans for the different phases of development, details of all the features required and estimates on the resources in terms of the budget, timeframe and skills set that would be required for the overall design and delivery of the product comparison software solution.
