While researching on businesses and professionals worldwide, Pegasus InfoCorp was recommended a meeting with our client based in the USA, who was interested in developing mobile applications for the iPhone and Blackberry mobile devices. The client wanted an advanced, complex screen sharing mobile application for both the iPhone and Blackberry platforms, that would enable users to view the screen of their mobile device on an external display unit such as a monitor, a projector, or a television set, while still being able to see and interact with their mobile device. After several discussions, the client chose Pegasus InfoCorp as a long term partner for the mobile applications development project.
The screen sharing mobile phone application, once activated in the mobile devices, remains active in the background and captures screenshots of the display screen every few milliseconds. The screenshots are then transferred to the screen of the external display unit. The application uses a standard AV cable available with the phone for displaying the screenshots on the display unit or can even stream images over Wifi or Bluetooth to other wireless display units. The application also supports rotations, which mean, if the phone is tilted; it detects the movement and adjusts the output by rotating the images on the fly. Therefore in any situation, the images displayed on the display unit always have a proper orientation.
The mobile software development for the iPhone and Blackberry mobile devices were built along the lines of Apple’s iPhone and Blackberry development standards for their respective mobile phones. For the iPhone application development we used iPhone native languages on the iPhone SDK 3.2 (with Xcode 3.2.2) while the Blackberry application development was done using the Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) technology.
We look forward to working with the client on other web and mobile applications development projects, down the line.
