The clients approached Pegasus InfoCorp with a business proposition
to revamp their existing website and convert it into an e commerce
solution, to promote their products and direct sales. After several
weeks of discussions, planning the best approach and strategies for
the ecommerce software, Pegasus InfoCorp built a detailed software
requirements speciation (SRS) document for the client, documenting
all their requirements and the phases of development, keeping in
mind their overall business objectives and marketing strategies.
On completing the SRS project, Pegasus InfoCorp, started off with
the development of the detailed features of the ecommerce website,
and thus began our long term business relationship with the client.
The heart of the site is an ecommerce solution for dental products. Dental products can be bought and rated by the site users, through the site. For the ‘buying’ process we have developed several interesting features for e.g. online deals and offers, multiple payment options, stock inventory alerts, area wise shipment calculations, ‘rewards’ for customers to enjoy different exciting gifts on their purchases etc. In addition, we have developed an ‘Education’ section with online help to doctors on the use of the products via manuals, videos, articles etc, and a ‘Mentoring’ section for users to post queries to registered dental experts of the company.
We have also worked on several other features for the medical ecommerce software solution based on the client’s preferences. Some of the features that we have built include newsletters subscription management, testimonials, events management, banner advertisements, downloads, careers and placements etc. We have also developed a ‘Stationery Items’ section for users to buy cards, envelopes, letterheads etc, all of which are artistically designed and can be customized as per the users needs.
The healthcare software solution is developed on the Microsoft ASP.NET platform with SQL server as the backend database. As part of the next phase of development, we will be developing a detailed ‘Economics’ section for the site - this would basically be to assist dentists in planning material requirements for their clinics, on a regular basis, depending on the number of patients, type of treatments etc.
