14. Autodir requirements

• You will need a Linux kernel equal to or later than version 2.4. These kernel versions support mounting one directory on another directory. At this moment Autodir is not ported to other Unices but this may change in the future.

• Autodir requires the autofs kernel module based on protocol version 3. But it does not require the autofs user level package. The autofs kernel module is pretty standard and almost all distributions include it.
