India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) is a proposed particle physics research project to primarily study atmospheric neutrinos. In 2002, a document was presented to the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, laying out the framework for establishing an India-based Neutrino Observatory. This DAE funded project is now implemented via an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) spelling out the operational aspects of the project. This MOU is built and undertaken by seven primary project partners: Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Kolkata, Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata, Harish Chandra Research Institute (HRI), Allahabad and Institute of Physics (IOP), Bhubaneswar
For the development of the entire online presence of the INO, Pegasus InfoCorp has been chosen as the technical advisory and development partner. The currently live, first phase of the web portal provides for a member directory listing different department members of the INO. It provides an events / news / announcements calendar highlighting the progress of work on the INO. A careers section and a special vendor interest form provides for potential joinees/ staff members/ researchers the ability to apply to the INO, and for vendors to register for different tenders floated by the INO. The site is supported by a robust, custom built content management system (CMS) supporting the site, and an administration panel/ super administration panel for different users/ user types to manage the site
Pegasus InfoCorp is proud to partner with the India based Neutrino Observatory (INO), the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) for the development and deployment of the INO research site
