A leading supplier of ‘document solutions’ and ‘archiving systems’ based in the UK was looking to outsource several web design, content development and web development projects related to digital office equipment and document management systems. The client, a fully authorized Canon partner, wanted to work with a company having experienced and skilled resources. After several months of research and discussions across short listed vendors, the client chose Pegasus InfoCorp to build a small project for a couple of months, as an initial step. After successfully delivering on the project, the client chose Pegasus InfoCorp as their web development partner and thus began our long term business relationship with the client.
We have worked on several websites for the client, showcasing their different products, services, document management systems etc. In one specific site we have developed a complete directory of suppliers/distributors in the UK that provide solutions to manage documents. For this site, we have integrated with the SOBI2 component for managing the different categories, entries etc for the suppliers and distributors. The most interesting feature of this site is the ‘advanced search’ functionality for the buyers to be able to search through the entire directory of the suppliers and distributors, on the site.
Another interesting project on which we have worked with the client is basically a complete e-commerce solution along with a multi-level referral system, with rewards being managed at different levels. Users are able to buy or lease products through the site and enjoy the benefits of the reward system. For the shopping functionality and referral system, we have integrated and completely customized the ‘VirtueMart’ component. A lot of customization has also gone into the Joomla CMS for creating the referral system. We have also worked on few other interesting features for the site such as managing of discontinued products, filtering of VirtueMart results, a ‘cron’ to manage status of rewards, saving orders placed directly to the vendors SAP system, integrating with custom built third party modules (with very poor documentation at all) etc. As part of the further iterations, we would be working on XML integrations and shipment and delivery management
During this entire agile development process, we have also worked on many small content and graphic related projects such as promotional banners, call to action buttons, twitter backgrounds, live chat banners, graphics for packaging tape, stickers for paper reams etc, which the client has installed/integrated in his main and/or other business sites.
We have also produced the content and all the required graphics for all the sites that we have worked on, till date. As per the client’s choice, we have built on top of the Joomla CMS for all sites and have used ‘Chronoforms’ for all the forms, of the sites. All sites have been completely built from a search engine optimization (SEO) point of view.
As a general practice, the majority of our long term clients visit us every 6 – 12 months, or senior management of our long term projects visit the clients’ offices in different countries every 6 – 12 months. So also, this client team has visited our offices and has been very happy with the overall work done across projects.
